When attending or volunteering at sporting events, First Nations people are 10x more likely to experience or witness racism than the general population.

Less than half of Australians support Indigenous Rounds as an appropriate sport- led celebration of First Nation cultures.

Despite the lack of public support for Indigenous Rounds, 65% of First Nations people suggest that Indigenous Round allow them to start conversations on social issues with their friends and colleagues.

This large scale study explores how fans and participants perceive racism in sport, across all major sporting codes. Combining nationally representative data with qualitative insights, it examines how effectively sport addresses racism, and what we can do collectively to drive societal change through sport.
